#UnderTheHat day....

Today is hashtag Under The Hat day.....What does this mean? it means one day a year we as survivors of the world's most painful disease acknowledgment for something that affects us so deeply.

Chances are you are reading this after today March 21. But every day we live with this incurable disease that has taken the lives of so many.


0.01% roughly of the world's population are affected. Women, men, and children on every continent.
Attacks last 30 min to 3 hours long. A survivor can have up to 15 attacks per day. 
Average diagnosis time is 4 years. Some go misdiagnosed, undiagnosed for decades.
It is  200x the national suicide rate. Most of us have thought, tried or contemplated suicide.
Survivors will go to extremes to stop the attacks. Including brain surgery like myself or sadly Suicide.
Almost every survivor has lost jobs, can't hold a job, are on disability, lost marriages, relationships, and even our vanity.
There is no cure.

Awareness is everything to us.

One more educated person on cluster headaches is one less survivor living in fear.

They are rated on a 1 to 10 Kip Scale. This is a 7-7.5.
